Thursday's game against McCutcheon was a heartbreaker for Westfield, as they lost the lead late in a 9-7 defeat. The game was tied at six with McCutcheon batting in the top of the ninth when an error scored one run for McCutcheon. The Shamrocks scored three runs in the fourth inning. Addison Greenwalt had an RBI single in the inning to lead the run scoring. Kaylee Bowers led things off in the circle for Westfield. The southpaw went eight innings, allowing seven runs on 11 hits and striking out one. Delaney Balsbaugh threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. The Rocks tallied 11 hits in the game. Brooklyn Switalski, Reese Mahannah, and Brittany Dollens each collected multiple hits for Westfield. Switalski led the team with three hits in five at bats.
