The Westfield girls track team competed at the always tough Zionsville Invite Friday night and walked away with an outstanding 2nd place finish. Once again the sprinters and hurdlers ruled the day for the Shamrocks. Lucy Hauser was a two-time champion prevailing in the 100 and 300 hurdles. Princess Campbell was also a meet champion in the 100 dash. Westfield double scored in all three of those events as well, with Tobi Fapetu finishing 2nd in the 100, and Madison Clary pulling in 4th in the 100H and 5th in the 300H. Campbell, Fapetu, and Hauser also teamed up with Abbi Van Bibber to finsh 2nd in the 4x100 relay, and Van Bibber led the 4x400 with Brittany Brown, Clara Campbell, and Kate Malin to pull a 2nd in that relay. Not to be fogotten, a couple of distance runners also scored points, with Liz Smith grabbing a solid 5th place in the 1600, and Emily Loiselle finishing 6th in the 3200. Gracie Czubik represented the field event performers, scoring in the long jump. The Shamrocks are back in action Tuesday Hamilton Southeastern HS in the HCC Championships.
