The Rocks traveled to Indian Creek to play the undefeated and 3A second ranked Braves. The Rocks and Braves traded blows throughout the first half with the score being 23-22 Rocks at halftime. A strong second half effort kept the Rocks in front throughout the game. The team was anchored defensively by Lindsey Van Dyke and Kiki Loveless. Emmrey Collinsworth put the finishing touches on the game with two key free throws. The Rocks defeated the Braves by a final score of 46-43. The team was led in scoring by Ellie Kelleher with 16 points and 7 rebounds. She was followed by Lindsey Van Dyke with 9 points, and Emmrey Collinsworth and Aubrey Crockett each with 8 points. The game was a total team effort that led to the Braves suffering their first lost on the season. The Rocks are back in action this week on Wednesday with a varsity only game at Hamilton Heights. Tip is set for 7:00 PM.
