Freshman Football Falls to Fishers in Overtime

This weekend, your freshmen Shamrocks played host to the Fishers Tigers in the final home game of freshman year. This game did not disappoint, being neck and neck throughout and coming down to the final play. The defense got rolling in the first half, with multiple great stops to bring things to halftime with a score of 0-0. Fishers was able to jump out to a 7-0 lead after halftime. However, the Rocks offense responded as Shon Edmond took off for a long TD run. The Tigers would punch in another TD at the beginning of the fourth quarter, but the Rocks O responded once again with a long TD pass from Quinn Hackman to Jay Crumedy to even things back up in the final minutes. Neither team was able to score on their final possessions, bringing the young Rocks to their first overtime game! In OT, Fishers received the ball first and was able to put the ball in the end zone. Jay Crumedy would go on to score his second TD of the game, this time on a pass from Greyson Hampton, and the Rocks went for two and the win. Unfortunately, the rush attempt was stopped just inches away from the goal line, and the Tigers emerged as the victors on this day. The Shamrocks will look to end the season with a win as they travel to Franklin Central next week to take on the Flashes.
