The Westfield JV Shamrocks came away with a close 28-21 victory over the Fishers Tigers to move 6-2 on the year. It was a back-and-forth game all morning with the Rocks scoring the go-ahead TD with little time left in the 4th quarter. There were contributions from all 3 phases to help the Rocks secure the victory. On offense, the Rocks were led up front by strong play from players of the game Allen Pierce and Hudson Wood. Mr. Consistency award(s) went to RB Maison McCray and WR Maddox Novotney. The big play came when Ben Kooi delivered a 4th down TD throw to Dre Gant. Defensively, the player of the game was DL Sully Meehan. The Mr. Consistency award was given to the entire defensive line, which was stingy against the run throughout the game. The plays of the game came on two fumble recoveries, one by Sully Meehan and one by Bishop Pawlowski. On special teams, the player of the game was Maddox Novotney from his returner position. Kicker Nick Beam was consistent on his field goals all game. The play of the game came on a Carter Greeman kickoff touchback to pin the Tiger offense. The JV Shamrocks will look to finish their season with a win when they host the Franklin Central Flashes for a 10 AM kick on Saturday, October 18th.
