Westfield started their tough game week off with a home match against Cathedral. A good battle from the beginning, neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first half. Emma Deitsch created a first half shutout for the Rocks making three saves on the night. As teams settled into the second half, the first goal came from a driven outside shot from Addie Colling, putting the Rocks on the board first. Not too long after, the Rocks earned a corner kick. Ary Ali served a great ball into the box that Coltie Carson got on the end of and the Rocks went up, 2-0. The final goal of the match came for a set piece from Ary Ali. She placed a nice ball into the 6-yard box that deflected off a defender and into the goal. Leah Hunsucker tallied the second half shutout making four saves. Westfield is back in action on Wednesday.
