The JV boys cross country team had an outstanding day at the Hamilton County Championships, with a multitude of athletes earning new PRs on a wonderful day to run. The team was led by Taye Gutwein's 21st place finish, followed by Owen Dilley, Jace Lee, Tyler O'Rourke, and John Obusek. PRs were run by Lee, O'Rourke, Brecken Snyder (running under 18:00 in his first official 5K), Parker Johnson, Elan Zamora, Brandon Encinia, Corbin Hasler (by over a minute), Brayden Cring, Conner Phillips, Ryan Hess, Harry Graves, Evan Hocker, Noah Niccum, Jaeden Brown, Chase Lambert, Zaden Glass, Chris Christmas, Mason Hoffbauer, Noah Lee (by over 3 minutes), and Reece Young (also by over 3 minutes). Like the varsity, the JV average time was one of the best in recent memory. The boys took advantage of elite competition, a fast course, and great conditions and earned strong results. The boys are back in action on Saturday at the Harrison Invitational at the Tippecanoe County Amphitheater in Lafayette.
