In the first inning, Westfield got their offense started when Brooklyn Switalski doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Kenzie Hiatt started the game for the Shamrocks. Hiatt surrendered eight runs on seven hits over two innings, striking out one. Delaney Balsbaugh and Kaylee Bowers entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one inning respectively. Sofia Easterhaus went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Westfield in hits.
