It was a tough battle for the home opener against Fishers. The Rocks created a couple of opportunities in the first half, but found themselves down at halftime 1-0. Ready to fight back, the Rocks came out of halftime with great energy and were able to score quickly on a great far post goal by Elle Fischer after a nice slotted pass from Kylie Ipsen. Fishers put Westfield under some pressure, but thanks to the defensive efforts of Berkley Lara, Ary Ali, Zahara Ali, and Avery Van Den Berg, Westfield did not allow many testing shots. With about ten minutes to go in the game, Ary Ali served the ball in from a cross, giving the Rocks a chance. The ball bounced around and into the back of the net off a Fishers player, last touched by Ali. Final score, 2-1 in favor of Westfield.
