Wednesday's game against Zionsville was a heartbreaker for Westfield, as they lost the lead late in a 15-8 defeat. The Shamrocks got things moving in the first inning, when Sofia Easterhaus hit a solo homer. Westfield tallied three runs in the third inning. Vawn Horstman, Delaney Balsbaugh, and Brooklyn Switalski all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Kaylee Bowers led things off on the rubber for the Rocks. The lefthander went six and a third innings, allowing ten runs on five hits and striking out 11. Addison Greenwalt threw two-thirds of an inning out of the bullpen. Westfield tallied one home run on the day. Easterhaus went deep in the first inning. Westfield racked up eight hits in the game. Switalski and Easterhaus all managed multiple hits. Switalski led the Shamrocks with three hits in four at bats.
