Your Lady Rocks Varsity team started the season off with a strong showing at Guerin Catholic this Saturday. The Rocks took an early lead when Lola Horstman capitalized on a PK 1:40 into the game. Another goal came at the 19:57 mark when Ary Ali perfectly placed a corner kick for Arri Cooke-Dennis to score with a heading finish, taking the Shamrocks into halftime with a 2-0 lead. Emma Deitsch in goal for a first-half shutout. Early in the second half, another corner kick delivered by Ary Ali ended in a heading finish by Avery Van Den Berg. After a lightning delay, the final goal came from Senior Graysen Wheeler on a nice turn and hit from the top of the 18 on a pass from Kylie Ipsen and Brynn Sargent. Leah Hunsucker contributed to the second-half shutout. The Rocks next match will be the home opener against Fishers this Wednesday, August 20th.
