The #8 Lady Rocks Varsity Lacrosse team beat Warren Central 19–1 on Thursday night. The defense was dominant led by Ella Lowery (3 draw controls, 1 ground ball, 1 forced turnover), Zoe Milewski (1 ground ball, 2 forced turnovers, a goal and an assist), Annie Hamilton (1 draw control) and Addison Fisher (1 ground ball) added an assist each, and Liz Carney had a goal while Marta Gonzalez got 2 ground balls and Analiece Emigh had a ground ball. Jazmine Gonzalez and Lucy Hemmerling dominated in goal. The attack goal scoring was widely distributed among Molly O’Brien (4), Charley Kocsis (4), Kayla Reis (3), Lauren Dean (2), Riley O’Brien (2), Ally Weirick (1) and Harley Wettschurack (1). Kayla Reis and Lauren Dean led draw controls with 6 each. Kloe Fosnaugh led the team in ground balls (5) while Hannah Cavalcanti and Molly O’Brien collected 4 each. The team plays at home Tuesday vs #6 Cathedral while averaging 11.3 goals, 7 assists, 11.3 draw controls, 22.8 ground balls, 9 forced turnovers and 2.8 interceptions per game.
