The Westfield Girls Track and Field team capped off the 2025 season competing in the IHSAA State Finals on Saturday at North Central. The Rocks had a solid day of performances that included an All-State finish featuring a multi-time all-stater. Senior Alex Hamilton finished off her historic Westfield career by placing third in the Pole Vault, leaping to a mark of 11'6" to earn her 2nd consecutive All-State finish after placing 9th a year ago. Hamilton's third-place finish is the highest place ever by a Westfield Pole vaulter at the State Finals. Hamilton leaves Westfield with the indoor school record in the pole vault at 11'6" and sole possession of the 2nd best vault in school history at 11'9". The 4x800 relay team of Mackenna Condon, Jordyn Landrum, Maggie Naas, and Alivia Lozier continued the strong start to the meet by placing 15th in a time of 9:27.60. This was Westfield's 1st state meet appearance in the 4x800 relay since 2017. Junior Ella Jenkins placed 18th in the pole vault, finishing off a great season in her first year as a track and field athlete. In the 3200, Alivia Lozier ran a gutsy race to place 11th in a time of 10:43.53. The time is the fastest 3200 ever run by a Westfield athlete at the state meet and is the fastest 11th-place time in state meet history. The 4x400 relay team of Jordyn Landrum, LeAsia Warren, LeBraya Warren, and Gracie Czubik finished off the night with a 12th-place finish, racing to a season-best time of 3:57.11. That time also lowers the group's record for the 3rd best time in school history and the fastest Westfield 4x400 time at State since 2004. The 2025 season was a big success for the Westfield Girls Track and Field team. Thank you to everyone for allowing along with us throughout the season. We are already looking forward to next year and more successes to come, with many girls coming back from this year's team. Go Rocks!
