The Shamrocks fought back after falling down by seven runs in the third inning. The comeback fell just short though, in an 8-7 defeat to Pendleton Heights on Thursday. Westfield scored six runs on a single by Julia Stormer in the fourth, a double by Lilly Amburgey in the sixth, a single by Sofia Easterhaus in the sixth, and a single by Stormer in the seventh. The Rocks tallied three runs in the sixth inning. Amburgey and Easterhaus both contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Delaney Balsbaugh led things off in the pitcher's circle for Westfield. Balsbaugh surrendered five runs on five hits over one and one-third innings. Kaylee Bowers threw four and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen. The Rocks racked up nine hits in the game. Stormer, Addison Greenwalt, and Easterhaus all had multiple hits for Westfield. Stormer led the team with three hits in four at bats.
