Olivia Sampia struck out 10 batters as the starting pitcher led Westfield JV Green past Mooresville 10-1 on Saturday. Sampia gave up three hits and one run over seven innings while walking none. Sampia collected three hits in four at bats in the win. Sampia hit a home run to center field in the sixth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the fifth inning. The Shamrocks got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Sampia singled to center field scoring one run. The Shamrocks added three more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning on three hits. Hayden Rice doubled, scoring one run, and Sampia homered to center field, scoring two runs. The Shamrocks accumulated 12 hits in the game. Kennedy Stoecker, Gwen Brown, and Rice each collected multiple hits.
