Westfield JV Green outsted Zionsville 7-5 on Tuesday. Westfield jumped into the lead in the bottom of the first when Ali Kainrath doubled, scoring two runs, and Hayden Rice singled, scoring one run. A sacrifice fly by Kennedy Stoecker extended the Shamrocks lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the second inning. The Shamrocks took the lead back in the bottom of the fourth. Alyvia Browne doubled, scoring two runs. Olivia Sampia earned the win for the Shamrocks in the circle. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and one run over five and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking none. Adelyn Kurth appeared in relief for the Shamrocks. Westfield tallied 12 hits in the game. Leadoff hitter Kurth led Westfield with three hits in four at bats. Kainrath and Browne each drove in two runs for the Shamrocks. Sampia, Kaylee Graff, and Rice each collected multiple hits for the Shamrocks.
