Four hits from Lilly Amburgey helped lead Westfield Shamrocks (JV) past Carmel 25-9 on Wednesday. Amburgey homered in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the fourth, and doubled in the fifth. The Shamrocks got things started in the first inning when Amburgey lead off with a solo in the park homer. The Rocks worked together to score 7 more runs making it an 8 run first inning. Kaylee Bowers started in the circle. Bowers surrendered two runs on three hits over four innings, striking out five. The Shamrock defense looked strong holding Carmel scoreless in the final two innings. Reese Mahannah (CF) and Sarah Schramm (C) teamed up in the last inning to throw out a runner at home plate to record one of the final outs. The Rocks tallied nine hits in the game. Amburgey and Jordan Clark each collected multiple hits.
