Varsity Softball Defeats Hamilton Heights

The Rocks Beat Hamilton Heights 8-4 in Softball action Monday evening. The team opened the scoring in the first after an error scored one run. They added three more runs in the top of the third inning on four hits. Makayla Watson singled, scoring one run, and Ava Kainrath homered to left field, scoring two runs. Chloe Tanner earned the win for The Rocks. The hurler surrendered two hits and zero runs over two and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one. Mackenzie Delph and Shea Vohs each appeared in relief for The Rocks. The Rocks accumulated 11 hits in the game. Tanner and Watson each collected three hits. Kainrath and Tanner were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in three runs. Sofia Easterhaus collected two hits in four at bats. Watson tied her own school record with three stolen bases. The Rocks play at home on Tuesday against Zionsville in their next game.
