Girls Track and Field Competes at Noblesville JV Invite

The Shamrocks opened the month of May by competing in the Noblesville JV Invite on Thursday where many athletes finished off their seasons with great performances! In the 1600 meter run, Sam Plummer was the Rocks first finisher as she came across the line in a new season best time of 5:49.7. In the 300 hurdles, freshmen Desi King got a NEW PR racing to a time of 53.6 seconds. In the 800 meter run, Ava Britton-Heitz had a stellar performance running 2:29.2 in a NEW PR and earning her varsity letter in the event! The 200 meter dash saw two Rocks hit huge PR's and earn varsity letters as Melody Miller raced to a time of 27.69 and Katelyn Neely continued her great season clocking a time of 28.03 seconds. In the 3200 meter run, both Westfield runners that raced had new season bests as Claudia Southworth raced to a NEW PR of 12:20, and Izzy McCulloch came across the line in a time of 12:41. The Rocks won two events on the night as Paige Lemieux took the Pole Vault win matching her season best vault of 10'6" and the 4x400 relay team of Claire Weddige, Chloe Stuart, Lina Abriani, and Clara Isaacs won a dramatic race and come away with a thrilling relay victory! Congratulations to all Shamrocks who completed their seasons Thursday night. Westfield looks forward to getting the postseason started with the HCC Championships on Tuesday May 6th. Go Rocks!
