Lady Rocks Softball Defeats Fishers, 7-2

The Rocks outsted Fishers Varsity Tigers 7-2 on Tuesday. The Rocks were the first to get on the board in the first inning when Chloe Tanner singled, scoring one run. Reese Mahannah hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the fourth for the Westfield Varsity Shamrocks. Tanner earned the win for Westfield Varsity Shamrocks. The starter surrendered seven hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out three and walking two. The Rocks collected 13 hits in the game. Ava Kainrath provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Westfield Varsity Shamrocks with four runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Makayla Watson led Westfield Varsity Shamrocks with three hits in three at bats. Mahannah and Sofia Easterhaus each collected multiple hits for the Rocks Shamrocks. Watson stole two bases. The Rocks turned one double play in the game. The Rocks were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Sydney Jordan had the most chances in the field with 10. The Rocks welcome Harrison on Wednesday for their next game.
