The boys JV volleyball team hosted a tri-match this Saturday and finished the day victorious in both matches. The Rocks beat Roncalli 2-1 (25-18, 23-25 & 15-13) and Franklin Community 2-0 (25-13 & 25-13). The victories improved the season record to 10-2 and pushed the JV's winning streak to an impressive 7 matches. The match against perennial powerhouse Roncalli was highlighted by many long rallies and impressive defense from both teams. The Rocks showed great teamwork and hustle tallying 63 digs as a team and double digit assists by both setters, Xavier Lyon and Michael Terbish. The offensive effort was highlighted by many timely attacks by Aidyn Kuzma who finished with a .529 hitting percentage with 9 kills and no errors. The match against Franklin Community featured a balanced attack on offense where the team hit a high percentage of .354 for the match. Barrett Jaynes and Eric Keller led the attack with 5 and 6 kills respectively. Setter Xavier Lyon, Michael Terbish and Jack Feltz combined for 20 assists against only 2 errors. Your Rocks hit the road Monday night to take on Chatard and then host Fishers Thursday night at WHS for a monster conference matchup.
