The boys traveled to Zionsville for its first post-Spring Break meet and walked away with a victory. The highlight of the meet was Cato June's win in the 100 dash with a time of 10.98, the first sub-11 100 in some time. Other event winners included Caleb Terril with a fine 400 time of 50.75, Caleb Haney in the 800, Nathan McKeever in the 3200, Kaleb Johnson in the high jump, Lucas Bland in the pole vault, Isaac Cole in the shot put, and Jordan Gross in the discus. The 4x100 relay of Maison McCray, Brock Parker, Cayden Gearhart, and June also won. Others scoring 2nd and 3rd place points were Jackson Dukes, Leonel Cruz, McCray in the 100 and 200, Gearhart, Will Snedeker, Ty Conner, Robert Campbell in the high jump and long jump, Austin Scheerer, Job Mavrick in the shot put and discus, and Preston Pekala. The Shamrocks are back in action Friday night in showcase meets at Franklin Central (distance), Lafayette Jefferson (sprints), and Lawrence North (field events). The team will compete together again Monday night at Riverview Health Stadium in Westfield against Carmel, and Noblesville.
