Rocks Baseball Defeats Friendship Christian Academy

The Rocks (4-0/2-0) played a game against the Friendship Christian Academy Commanders in the nightcap of the double header on Friday. Westfield fell behind early 4-0, then broke the game open in the 4th inning with 7 runs. Form there, the Rocks tacked on another seven runs on their way to a 14-6 victory. James Kovacs earned the win for the Rocks with 4 innings of relief, allowing just one hit while walking three and striking out four. Clayton Walther pitched an inning of relief, allowing no runs while walking one and striking out one. Offensively, Westfield was led by Drew Law, Caden Lindsey and Matt Drozlek. Drew Law was 2 for 4 with 4 RBI. Matt Drozlek was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and Caden Lindsey was 1 for 3 with 3 RBI and a stolen base. Johnny Ewing was 1 for 2 with a triple, Ethan Colling was 1 for 1 with a double.
