Varsity: The Rocks defeated conference for Franklin Central in 3 sets, 25-14, 25-10, 25-17 on Thursday. Westfield improves to 9-2 on the season. The Rocks were led by senior Outside Hitter, Carlo Huisden with 14 kills, 5 blocks and 6 digs. Middle Hitters Nick Gerow (5 kills)and Fletcher Farrar ( 7 kills) had big nights as well in the win. JV: Your JV boys volleyball team will be going into spring break on a 3 match conference winning streak after a solid victory in 2 sets over Franklin Central Thursday night, 25-21 & 25-21. The Rocks won this night with their defense. The front row set the tone with 8 blocks led by Barrett Jaynes (3) and the back row kept the Flashes frustrated by digging up a majority of their attack balls, led by Steven Alvarez (16 digs) and Felipe Rivera (13 digs). Xavier Lyon led the offense with 11 assists and also tallied a team high 7 kills on assists from Michael Terbish.
