Varsity: The Westfield Lady Rocks Varsity tennis team opened the season against Carmel High School on Tuesday night. Dropping a very tight match 2-3. #1 singles freshman Alexandra Grilliot had a strong showing in her first match winning 6-0, 6-0. #2 singles Juliette Grilliot fought hard to bring home a tough win at the spot winning in 3 sets 6-3, 6-7(8), 6-3 #3 singles Addi Kooi dropped a close first set 4-6 and was tied at 6-6 in the second set before having to retire with an injury. #1 doubles of Jenna Berry and Bella Rivera played a great match dropping the first set 3-6 and a close second set 4-6. #2 doubles of Ellen Volz and Maddie Iovino dropped their match 1-6, 2-6 The Lady Rocks are 0-1 on the season and will be back in action on April 15 against Brownsburg.
