Varsity: The Varsity Men's Volleyball Team defeated HSE on Monday in 3 straight sets, 25-19, 25-17, 25-21. The Rocks were led by the all around play of outside hitters CJ Fox, 5 kills, 4 aces, and 2 blocks and Carlo Huisden, 10 kills, 1 ace, 3 blocks and 8 digs. Setter Graham Weddige also chipped in 16 assists and was presented with a game ball for his career 1000 assist this evening as well! JV: The JV boys volleyball team captured their first conference win of the season on Monday night with a thrilling 3 set victory over HSE (20-25, 25-14 & 15-8). The victory meant a little more after they lost to the same HSE team over this past weekend in the gold bracket of a tournament. Although the Rocks got off to a slow start to the match, they used their defensive intensity in the second set to stifle HSE and go on multiple extended scoring streaks on offense. Steven Alvarez led the Rocks with 20 digs while Michael Terbish (11) and Xavier Lyon (10) both logged double digit assists to initiate the offense. The night however belonged to Quincy Spangler who stuffed the stat sheet with 6 blocks, 5 aces, 5 digs and 7 kills on 8 attempts with no errors.
