The Westfield Girls Track and Field team competed on Saturday at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in the Hoosier State Relays Finals to wrap up the indoor season. The Rocks placed 15th as a team with 12 points and had several great performances. Starting off the day with a bang, Alivia Lozier placed 5th in the 3200 in a time of 10:39.59 to place All-State and CRUSH the previous indoor school record of 10:52 set in 2018 by Gabby Dilick. Lozier's 10:39.59 is the best time by a Westfield runner indoors or out (Lozier also holds the current outdoor school record of 10:55). The scoring for the Rocks continued when the 4x800 relay team of Mackenna Condon, Jordyn Landrum, Gianna Ferreri, and Maggie Naas placed 6th in a time of 9:34.67. The 6th place finish earned 6 points for the Shamrocks in the team standings. This was the first year since 2016 the Westfield girls 4x800 placed top 8 at the HSR Finals. The third scoring event came from the field events as Alex Hamilton continued her strong start to the season by placing 7th in the pole vault to earn 2 team points with a jump of 11'0". Westfield also had several relays in the meet including the 4x200 which placed 19th, the 4x400 which placed 10th and the distance medley relay that placed 13th. Other Shamrocks that qualified and competed in the HSR Finals include Gracie Czubik (high jump, long jump, 4x200), Katelyn Eblen (high jump, 4x200), LeAsia Warren (4x200, 4x400), LeBraya Warren (4x200, 4x400), Lina Abriani (DMR), and Ella Bozarth (DMR). The Shamrocks now look ahead to the outdoor season and will be back in action on Tuesday April 1st for the first home meet of the season vs Hamilton Southeastern. Let's Go Rocks!
