The Westfield boys track and field team got their outdoor season started Thursday night with a win over Brownsburg at Riverview Health Stadium. Event winners for the Shamrocks were Owen Mohler in the 1600, Carson Faulconer in the 400, Lionel Cruz in the 300 hurdles, and Charlie Naas in the 800. Both the Rock relays also won--the 4x100 of Jaii Patterson, Kai Rhodes, Landon Porter, and Cooper Greer edged Brownsburg at the finish, and the 4x400 of Faulconer, Ryd Wallerstedt, Ridge Wallerstedt, and Gunnar Wegg won their relay by almost 20 seconds. In field events, Westfield scored wins by Alex Wilson in the pole vault, and Isaac Cole in the shot put. OIther point scorers included Jackson Dukes, Kaleb Johnson, and Lucas Bland. The Shamrocks are back in action. Saturday at the HSR state championships, and next Tuesday at HSE.
