Varsity: The Varsity Men's Volleyball Team defeated Brebeuf on Tuesday 23-25, 25-8, 25-14, 25-13. The Rocks started slow in the first set but kicked it into high gear in the second set to roll in three straight sets in the win. Senior Outside Hitter, Carlo Huisden had a monster night! The Purdue Ft Wayne commit led the team with 23 kills, 14 digs and 2 aces. CJ Fox had 11 kills, Graham Weddige had 29 assists and 4 aces and Fletcher Farrar had 4 solo blocks in the win! The Rocks first home match if the season is Thursday vs Lawrence North. JV: The JV boys volleyball team started off their season with a win on the road against Brebeuf. The team won their match in straight sets 25-7 and 25-11. The offense was led by captain Xavier Lyon who set up his hitters with 9 assists while also dominating from the service line with 14 aces. Fellow captain Eric Keller hit a team high .833 with a team high 5 kills. The defense was led by Steven Alvarez who led the team in digs and solidified the back line from his libero spot. The JV and varsity teams host Lawrence North on Thursday night starting at 6pm here at Westfield.
