Westfield Track and Field was back in action at Indiana Wesleyan University for the third and final IWU HSR Qualifier of the 2025 indoor season and came away with some more great performances. The day started off strong when Claudia Southworth raced to another indoor PR in the 3200 with a time of 12:43, going 8 seconds faster than she did a week ago on the same track. In the 60 meter dash, Melody Miller was another Shamrock that had a significant improvement from a week ago as she cut 0.15 seconds off of her 60 meter dash time racing to a new PR of 8.60 seconds. The Westfield relay squads had another strong day starting off with the 4x800 relay of Zoe Burgei, Charlotte Isaacs, Lina Abriani, and Clara Isaacs placing 3rd overall in a time of 10:29.23. The 4x200 relay, distance medley relay, and 4x400 relay teams all placed 8th on the day in their respective relays. In the field events, the Shamrocks came out with many season bests and some highly ranked state performances. In the pole vault, seniors Alex Hamilton and Paige Lemieux placed 3rd and 4th respectively as they both vaulted over 10'6", a mark currently 11th in the large school HSR qualifying rankings. Freshmen Morgan Guerrieri improved on her long jump from a week ago placing 6th in the event with a jump of 15'4". In the high jump, Katelyn Eblen made her debut and cleared 5'1" on her way to a 4th place finish and freshmen Jolie Miller improved on her jump from a week ago and cleared 4'10" to place 7th. It was a wonderful first two weeks of the season competing at IWU for some HSR qualifying. The Shamrocks will be competing next at the HCC Indoor Conference meet on Wednesday at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Go Rocks!
