The Westfield boys track and field team continued the qualifications process for the HSR State Indoor Championships, with two more relays qualifying and a number of excellent performances. The Distance Medley Relay team of Will Snedeker, Maxim Poirier, Caleb Haney, and Ty Conner an excellent time of 10:31.67, winning the event, and qualifying for the state meet with the 3rd best time in Indiana, currently. Likewise, the 4x200 relay of Caleb Terril, Robert Campbell, Cayden Gearhart, and Cato June ran a fine time of 1:33.06, finishing 2nd and getting themselves solidly into the HSR field as well. In Pole Vault, both Lucas Bland and Alex Wilson had great days, with Bland vaulting 12-6 for 7th and Wilson going 13-6 for a 2nd place finish. While they are both currently on the outside looking in, they are close, with Alex tied for 15th currently. Also having good performances today were Luke Moulder in the 3200 with a nice PR, Robert Campbell in the long jump, Graham Hoffman in the 3200, Owen Mohler in the 4x800, and Ryd Wallerstedt, Ridge Wallerstedt, and Braeden Dewes in the 4x400. The Shamrocks are back in action Wednesday (March 19) at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in the HCC Conference Meet. Pole Vault starts at 4:00, and the other events at 6.
