The Freshman Rocks' season came to an abrupt end Thursday night as they fell to the Zionsville Eagles in the Quarterfinals of the HCC Conference Tournament, 48-46. A tight game throughout, the Rocks were down 3 with under a minute left. A bucket by Codey Gearhart off a Max Vandegriff assist cut the lead to 1. The Rocks then forced a turnover and Ashton Reid went to the free throw line. He tied the game with a free throw, but Zionsville was able to hit a tough runner in the lane with 4 seconds left that eventually was the game winner. The team was led by Ashton Reid with 12 points, Cooper Melvin with 8, Max Vandegriff with 8, and Andrew Noble with 7.
