The Rocks took care of business Monday night, defeating the Huskies of Hamilton Heights 33-26. The boys did everything really well tonight besides putting the ball in the basket. They took great care of the basketball, as turnover numbers could be kept on a single hand. They rebounded the ball well, and defended even better. Yet a handful of missed layups led to the team trailing 26-20 midway through the 4th. Led by some lockdown defense by Cayden Gearhart and Will Bach, the team didn’t allow another point after that. Brody Sutton and Ja’Deon Smith led the charge on the offensive end, including a huge And-one by Sutton late to cut the deficit to one. The team also got some big 3 pointers by Ben Borland and Ryan Hunsucker that started a few runs. 1 down, 2 to go for the Rocks this week as they are back in action Wednesday night against McCutcheon.
