The JV Lady Rocks traveled to HSE for a tough HCC match up Thursday night. The JV Rocks jumped out early on the Royals in the first, Meg Hamilton got to the rim multiple times and scored 5 of her 13 in the first. Layla Six once again came in off the bench and scored 5 in the final 3 minutes of the quarter and the Rocks took a 4 point lead after one. The Rocks started the second going cold from the field and the Royals started to heat up hitting 3 big threes. The Rocks eventually got going and ended the quarter with 6 straight points but found themselves down 5 at the half. The Rocks got a quick bucket to start the third, but the Royals defense was too much to handle. Free throws down the stretch sealed the 43-32 victory for the Royals. Hamilton led the Rocks with 13 points and 4 assists, Six, Madeline Linville, and MaKayla Hatcher all chipped in 5. The Rocks are back in action Saturday when the travel to Indian Creek.
