The Freshman Rocks kept it rolling Monday night against tough HCC foe, Zionsville. Off to a hot start, Andrew Noble’s 11 first half points and a 3 ball by Tucker Marvel had the Rocks leading 26-15 at the half. Max Vandegriff and Clay Michel got activated in the 3rd quarter with a 3 a piece which got the Rocks up to a 34-17 lead before a huge run by Zionsville tightened things up at the end. Zionsville had the ball with a chance to cut the lead to 1 until Cooper Melvin had a block from the help side. Up 3 with an under a minute to play, Clay Michel’s clutch free throw put the lead to 4 and then Andrew Noble went 2 for 2 to ice the game 45-40. The Rocks were led by Noble (13 points), Vandegriff (7 points), and Kaleb Brown (7 points) on the offensive end while Jack Stuckey and Ashton Reid took care of business on the defensive end. The Rocks are back in action Wednesday and Thursday night for two conference road clashes at FC and HSE, hoping to stay hot.
