Both the JV & Varsity Lady Rocks traveled to Lawrenceburg for the Lauren Hill Classic on January 3rd. JV won their portion of the tournament by defeated both East Central and Lawrenceburg on the day. East Central in the morning was a back and forth game but the Lady Rocks were able to pull away in the 2nd half as Lizzy Foster and Paisley Crawford each poured in 12 points. In the second game of the day, the Rocks used a strong defensive effort to fuel their offense and beating Lawrenceburg 49 to 16. The Rocks were led by Adley Russell with 17 and Lizzy Foster added 13 on the game. The Varsity team held off a pesky East Central team in the morning game with a strong defensive effort, holding them to 28 points. The Rocks were balanced in scoring with Meg Hamilton leading the way with 11, Lindsey Van Dyke adding 9, & Sam Price with 7. In the second game, the Lady Rocks finished the night with a 53 to 30 win over the host team. Sam Price led the way for the Rocks with 16 points & Lindsey Van Dyke added 11 to lead the Rocks. Both Sam & Lindsey were voted all tournament team with Sam named MVP. The Rocks are back in action on January 8th at home vs. Bishop Chatard.
