The Freshman Rocks continued their good fortunes Monday night with a 51-32 victory over Mt. Vernon. The Rocks’ scoring out out had many contributors this evening, but were led by Ashton Reid with 13 points and Andrew Noble with 12. Another stout defensive performance, holding the Marauders to just 9 points in the first half. Clay Michel, Max Vandegriff and Codey Gearhart combined for a handful of steals and nice defensive rotations that led to some easy points on the other end. Jack Stuckey, Codey Gearhart, and Andrew Noble all knocked down a three pointer tonight. Any attempt at a comeback was thwarted by Peyton Hatcher and Cooper Melvin in the fourth quarter as they would not be denied victory. The Rocks are back in action Tuesday night against Harrison.
