The Westfield JV team lost a hard fought battle to the JV Millers of Noblesville on Friday night. The JV Rocks played some stellar defense in the first half, and held a 12-10 lead with just minutes to go in the half before the Millers went on an 8-0 run, including a last second three that was banked in at the buzzer. The JV Rocks jumped the Millers in the 3rd quarter, outscoring them 16-8 to take the lead going into the fourth. The game finished tied through four quarters, and was tied with seconds to go in the first OT. The Rocks got an excellent look to win the game, but the ball went halfway down the basket and popped back out. Ultimately, the JV Millers were able to squeak out a 2-piont victory, but the Rocks played with incredible effort and energy, and left everything on the floor. Brock Detamore led the Rocks with 13 points, Carsen Melvin had 12, and Durante Morton had 8.
