The Freshman Rocks kicked off their season strong Monday night, knocking off the Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles by a score of 41-24. Led by Max Vandegriff’s 11 points and Kaleb Brown’s 7, the incredibly balanced scoring attack received contributions from 13 players this evening. Not to be outdone by the offense, the defense showed up in a big way tonight holding the Golden Eagles to a mere 3 points at halftime. The game was sealed in the 4th quarter by a combination of tenacious rebounding by Peyton Hatcher and a dagger 3 by Codey Gearhart. The Freshman Rocks’ next battle will open up conference play at The Mill next Monday evening. It’s a great day to be a Shamrock!
