The JV Lady Rocks got off to a slow start Friday night against the Eagles of Zionsville. The Eagles defense held the Rocks to just 1 field goal in the first quarter and took a 7-3 lead after 1. The Rocks settled down in the second and looked to push the ball in transition where they were able to get some easy layups. Five different Rocks scored in the quarter to take a 13-11 lead into the half. The Rocks came out of the half ready to put the Eagles away two big threes by Meg Hamilton and Layla Six extended the lead to 9. The Rocks hit 3-4 free throw in the fourth to secure the 31-22 victory. Meg Hamilton led all scorers with 8 points. She also had 4 steals and 4 rebounds on the night. Mia Crask and MaKayla Hatcher each had 5 points and Sam Price had 6 steals to go along with her 4 points and 6 rebounds. The Rocks are back in action next Tuesday when they host Avon.
