Lady Rocks Sweep Plainfield

Varsity: The varsity volleyball team improved to 19-7 with a sweep over Plainfield on Saturday morning. Paige Rudolph led the offense with 20 kills, followed by Carsyn Comer with 13. Kendyl Strack and Izzy Jackson each had 12 digs to lead the defense, while Comer added 4 blocks. Jackson finished the match with 16 assists, and Emily Blevins finished with 14. The Rocks travel to Hamilton Heights on Tuesday to start the final week of the regular season. JV: The JV girls volleyball team swept Plainfield 2-0 (25-17 & 25-8) on Saturday morning to extend their winning streak to 6 matches in a dominant fashion. The Rocks kept Plainfield on their heels with strong serving which created 12 aces led by Meredith Mears and Kate Seewald with 3 each. The Kenna Robinson (21 assists) to Ava Rodda connection was next to unstoppable with Rodda hitting .889 with 8 kills on 9 attempts with no errors. It was a great defensive effort with by the entire team combining for 26 digs with only 2 errors on the day. The JV team enters its final week of the season and will play on Tuesday at Hamilton Heights.
