Varsity: The boys cross country team competed without several top runners at the HCC meet this past Saturday, but still had some outstanding performances. Owen Mohler led the way, finishing 20th overall. Sophomore Luke Moulder was Westfield's second finisher, earning a nearly 20 second PR on a waterlogged course. Rounding out the scorers were Owen Dilley, Nathan McKeever, and Drew Neely (who also earned a PR). The boys are back in action on Saturday night at the Nike Twilight race at the prestigious Lavern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute. JV: The boys JV cross country team finished 6th place at the HCC Championships. Leading the way was freshman Dexter Hoffman, with a massive PR and a 10th place finish. Hoffman earned a PR of over 30 seconds, despite the water and mud on the course. Other scorers included Landon Jones, Jace Lee, Luke Stevens, and Tyler O'Rourke. PRs were earned by Hoffman, Lee, Stevens, O'Rourke, Corbin Hasler, and Brayden Cring. The boys are back in action on Saturday night at the Nike Twilight race at Terre Haute.
