The Rocks opened up their season with a rematch of last year's Regional Final against the Kokomo Wildkats. The game started as a slugfest, with both teams playing stout defense. The score at halftime was 10 - 14 in Kokomo's favor, and then the offense started flowing in the second half. The Rocks played incredible post defense, and knocked down second half shots to open up an arms-length lead. Westfield hit 11 - 13 free throws in the fourth quarter to knock off the #3 ranked WildKats. Trey Buchanan led the Rocks with 15 points, Alex Romack had 13, and Sam Bishop added 12, but it was an incredible team effort on defense that propelled the Rocks to victory.
