The JV Lady Rocks were back in action Tuesday night as they traveled to take on the Red Devils of Pike. The Rocks took advantage of their height advantage early getting 8 points in the paint from Sophomore Sam Price, and led by 1 after the first. The Rocks defense picked up in the second holding Pike to just 1 field goal. Freshman Audra Parker was a spark off the bench scorning 5 points in the quarter and the Rocks went into the half up 20-14. The Rocks let the Red Devils stick around in the second half giving up 11 points in the third and the Red Devils took a 1 point lead going into the forth. Mia Crask hit a huge three late in the forth and the Rocks secured the 32-29 victory. Price led the Rocks with 10 points, MaKayla Hatcher had 8, and Parker chipped in 5. The Rocks are back in action next Tuesday when the host Mt. Vernon. JV tips at 6:00 with Varsity to follow.
