The Westfield wrestlers had a great day of wrestling at the Capital City Classic, narrowly finishing 2nd place behind #8 ranked Perry Meridian. The Rocks were lead by a trio of seniors finishing first place. #9 ranked Ike O’Neill started the finals winning streak with a 2-0 win over Plainfield. Not to be outdone, Jason Rooney had the upset of the tournament pinning #16 Zach Huckaby in just 32 seconds. Eli Frei came in fresh off of football season racking up 3 falls and winning his final match in just 3:07. This young team of wrestlers just kept getting better throughout the day.
