The Rocks Gold team traveled to Carmel to take on the Greyhounds on Monday, September 9th. This game had a heavy presence of both senior classes with the Carmel sweep on the line! The Gold defense made significant improvements over the last couple of weeks, limiting Carmel’s spread offense, giving up one long pass and two long runs for TDs. Offensively, the Rocks consistently pushed the ball down the field throughout the game with some added juice coming on a double pass for TD from Corey Carter to Christopher Johns in the 2nd quarter. The Rocks rallied in the 4th quarter, scoring on a 6-play touchdown drive to tie the game. Next, the defense overcame a short field to stop the Carmel offense in the red zone, and Ben Kooi led a 2-minute drive to seal the win for the Rocks. Final 28-21 - ROCKS WIN!
