The JV Shamrocks moved to 3-1 on the season and 3-0 in HCC play with a 35-32 win over the HSE Royals. Some big plays in all 3 phases lined the morning to give the Rocks the advantage. Offensively, strong play was given from the whole offensive line group and the tight end group of Logan Robe and Baylor Conner. Mr. Consistency was given to 3 players that aided the Rocks in scoring 5 touchdowns in the game. Kaleb Darts gave great play from the wide receiver position and the running back stable of Noah Clark and Cole Chellevold provided consistent play on the ground. The big play came on the first offensive drive when Aiden Grabowski connected with Nick Fero for a long catch and run TD. Defensively the Rocks came up with a couple timely stops that helped gain and maintain the lead. Player of the game on the defensive side of the ball came from safety Logan Loring and Mr. Consistency came from Olu Fapetu in the linebacking corps. The special teams unit again helped bring the Rocks to victory. Maddox Novotney was the player of the game contributing in multiple ways, including returning punts. Nick Fero gave consistent play with his holds for kicker Diego Herrera. The big plays came when Diego Herrera kicked a surprise onside kick and the Rocks recovered as well as a big punt to flip the field from punter Noah Lee. The Shamrocks look to stay unbeaten in conference when they host the Brownsburg Bulldogs on Saturday, September 28th for a 10 AM kick.
