The JV Lady Rocks came out of the gates ready to go Saturday against the Bears of Lawrence Central. MaKayla Hatcher and Layla Six each knocked down a three in the first quarter to go up 14-2 after one. Hatcher continued to dominate on the offensive end scoring 6 of her game high 13 in the second. The Rocks defense was suffocating at times and multiple steals led to easy baskets in transition and the Rocks went up 20 at the half. Sam Price got the Rocks going to start the 3rd with two quick baskets and the Rocks never looked back and defeated the Bears 56-19. Once again the Rocks were unselfish with the basketball and all 12 girls dressing got in the scorebook. Hatcher led all scorers with 13, Six had 7, Meg Hamilton had 6, and Freshman Arri Cooke-Dennis chipped in 5 in her first game of the season. The Rocks are back in action Friday when the travel to Fishers for an HCC match up. JV tips at 6 with Varsity to follow.
