JV and Varsity Girls Volleyball Fall to Royals

The varsity volleyball team lost to HSE in straight sets. Carsyn Comer led the offense with 18 kills, followed by Audrey Davis and Audrey Bassett each with 14. Comer also added 4 blocks and 5 digs, anchoring the defense, while Brooke Neale chipped in 6 digs. Emily Blevins and Izzy Jackson ended the match with 17 and 11 assists, respectively. The Rocks travel to Delta on Saturday to take on the Eagles. The JV girls volleyball team played HSE on Wednesday night and lost in 3 sets (26-24, 23-25, 11-15). The match featured amazing rallies from both teams and could have gone either way. The Rocks will learn from this one and build off it to attack the rest of the season. Laynie Holman and Ava Rodda led the team in kills with 8 and 5 respectively, while tying for the highest plus/minus score on the team. Ava also added a team high 3 blocks with no errors. Kailey Sweet logged team highs in assists with 26 and service aces with 3. The girls will travel to Delta on Saturday to try to start a new win streak.
