JV and Varsity Volleyball Defeat Greyhounds

The varsity volleyball team improved to 13-4 with a win over Carmel on Monday night. Carsyn Comer led the offense with 16 kills, followed by Ava Stewart with 13. Comer also added 7 blocks. Defensively, the Rocks were led by Audrey Bassett with 20 digs, followed by Emily Blevins with 18 and Brooke Neale with 15. Blevins and Izzy Jackson each ended the match with 25 assists. Westfield will travel to HSE on Wednesday. Your JV girls volleyball team improved their season record to 10-1 with a victory Monday night over the Carmel Greyhounds in 3 sets (14-25, 25-22 & 15-12). The match started with a first set the Rocks would like to forget, but the girls did a great job of correcting their errors, supporting each other and finishing strong. Kailey Sweet played well again adjusting to her new setting role and finished with 16 assists, 5 digs, a kill, 2 blocks and 2 service aces. Eva Clevenger registered a team high 8 digs while Laynie Holman had a team high 8 kills. The Rocks will look to get a conference win on Wednesday night when they take on HSE.
